Job description

AZTI is a science and technology centre that conducts research projects in the marine and food fields, to provide products and technologies with a high impact, for organisations aligned with the United Nations 2030 SDGs. We are part of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA).

YOUR POSITION:

AZTI is looking for a person to join a team working in the field of marine and maritime economics. Knowledge and experience of analysing economic data, econometrics, statistics and designing experiments are required. The position also calls for knowledge of managing marine natural resources and/or assessing ecosystem services in the sea, as well as advanced knowledge of English (credit is given for other languages). Especially desirable is the capacity to undertake, on the basis of your experience and qualifications, the planning and execution of projects and services.

 

Type of contract: Access to the spanish science and technology system.

Duration: 3 years

 

Requirements

General Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Economics, Business Management or similar.
  • Specialisation: Natural resources, including marine ones

 

Specific Requirements:

  • Master's degree or specialist courses in natural resource management.
  • Econometrics, statistics and designing experiments.
  • Knowledge and experience of analysing economic data, econometrics, statistics and designing experiments are required.
  • Knowledge of marine natural resource management
  • Experience on economic projects in the area of natural resources, in particular marine natural resources.
  • Knowledge of the socio-economic environment.
  • Knowledge of natural resource management models.
  • Knowledge of R or other statistical packages.
  • Advanced knowledge of English.
  • Knowledge of Basque and other languages
  • Class B1 driving licence.
